Traded my D80 in for a D7000 today, this was after having to go to Lakeside as for the 2nd time in a year my useless shitpiece of a Blackberry has failed me,i couldn't even turn it on to sybc all the contacts, therefore losing around 800 numbers, cheers Blackberry you clueless morons with poor phones.
Anyway, back to the New Nikon,i went to Abberton to test it out but the light was very poor and i was having trouble with the settings,if anyone has any tips i would be grateful as its a bit different from my D80.
I think i may have the settings ok now but not sure, will be able to get out tomorrow so fingers crossed.
I got the Great Grey Shrike near Abberton at Hardys Green, got a few shots but it was very very distant,a good 200 yards away so sorry about the quality of the shot.
Yesterday i worked all day so didn't have a chance to go birding,Hornchurch lost away at Truro,a game i wanted to go to but their off field problems and doubts about the game being on a few weeks back meant i bailed out.Off to Heathrow in a minute, happy days!!!!
Anyway, here is a picture of the Shrike, sorry for the quality, but at least i got to see a quality bird....
Sounds like you have a plan. I just picked up the Fuji Pro 1. The output is amazing images although is taking a huge learning curve. I looked at the Nikon but wanted something lighter and also a desire to tackle the mirrorless system. Will see how it goes. Good luck with your pursuits and the Nikon.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with it mate, hope you get good pics, sure you will
