Stop being soft,camera & lense

Early start today,had a run to Southend Airport at 4.30am,got back about 6.15,was going birding but it was dark lol,went back to bed for a couple of hours,went to Thames Chase again,Cold but not as cold as yesterday.
Saw Bullfinch,Goldcrest,Sparrowhawk,Kestrel,redpolls,Siskin,got some crap SOFT photos,really struggling to get sharp images,not sure if its my settings or lense.
This evening went to the Thames Chase Wildlife group meeting where we had a exhibition by Gordon who has shown his works off to us before,This was all about Brazils Atlantic Forest and the Pantanal,superb.
got to go as up in a few hours to go Heathrow,see,i do work!!!
Excuse the poor Buzzard shot,it was taken in poor ligh with me hanging out the car near Stansted,it was still and took off and took me by surprise,hence being completely out of focus (i wasn't driving at the time)
